At the moment you look at Lake Titicaca the first thing that will get into your mind, and you can be forgiven for this, is that someone stuck a medium-size sea right int he middle of the Andes, no wonder is the highest navigable like in the world and it is part of Peru's border with Bolivia.

The tranquility and peace you can find there, aside from great hotels of major companies and if you don't have that much money you can always find great price hotels.

The visit to Lake Titicaca is so worth it! You will be staring at the reason of many ancient myths that many native people (many speaking in Quechua (the language of the Incas) will be happy to share with you (with a translator obviusly).

Many Uros (floating islands entirely out the reeds which go all around the lake) with people living in there will get you to find great peruvian articles and traditional food in each of them.

If you think you might not be able to find a location to stay, you're thinking wrong. Since, the main twon on the lake is Puno you will find great hotels, inside the uros and in the main city. And it would be a good entrance to the city of the Inkas, Cusco. You can take a train trip from Puno to Cusco or viceversa.

Outside Puno itself, there are several sites of interest within easy reach, of which the most important is Sillustani. This village has an astonishing congregation of Inca and pre-Inca funeral towers. It is still unclear exactly how they were constructed and they are defying archaeologists attempts to re-create them. There is a small museum at the site (although the exhibits and displays are all in Spanish) and the location is beautiful so if you find yourself with a few hours to spare then it’s definitely worth a trip. A taxi from Puno should cost about $25 and won’t take more than 45 minutes - a worthwhile addition to any holiday in Peru!

Many times we get into the cross of how to prepare a romatic trip with the one we love. So what to do? Where to go? How to know if the place we are choosing is the right one?

One thing you need keep in mind, obviosly is what your partner likes. Mostly when we are going to a romantic trip we need check for great and comfortable acommodation for example:

Check on the hotel website how the rooms are. The beds look comfortable? What about the bathrooms? this is important, a good hotel has a lot of pictures on its website of the bedrooms. To doble check this try to find comments online (or friends) of how did they find the rooms.

After that you might consider the sorroundings. If your are going to the beach check that the hotel is near the sea or close at least this will be much more comfortable. Remember that in this matter is all about LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION.

Also check on where are near restaurants are or may be packages for couples on the hotel like, special breakfasts or lunch.

To fix a bag for a travel can be a simple task or a very hard one at the same time. It's mostly likely that you'd have no idea what to take on your trip and what to leave behind. As to leave gear behind that you're not going to use, al thought you might feel better taking it with you.

First of all we need to remark that there's not such a thing as an "All Use" bag. Since not every gear is right for every trip not every trekker can resist an excesive logage.

There for, you have to be vere clear on what tours you're going to take, how long they're going to take, what kind of land is it, which are the temperatures of the area you're going to be on and if in the road you're going to be able to find food or gear.

There are at least two versions of how to distribute your gear in your bag. One that advices to carry all heavy elements in the upper part and one that says the exact opposite.

One option between those two is to distribute the weight along the volume of the bag in the part neaerest your bag, for some is a good solution to avoid pain in your lower back

In general: Place in the bottom all your underwear and higiene elements. Next, your sleeping bag, warmer and cooking elements. Then food that need pre-heated or cooking, the tent and its elements and snacks.

Finally, through the bag pockets and above teh above mentioned elements, warm clothes, shoes, water, poncho and elementes that you might need being in a hurry: Maps, pen, compass, lighter, medicines, knives among others.

Exterior pockets: all the things that remain: batteries, matches, survival Kit, Nailon Bags, bugs repelent and personal gear.

If possible try no te let any of your gear hangin on the air 'cause it might get wet because of rain. The three exceptions for this can be: Machete, sleeping bag aisolator and rope.

To end: Make sure you are acrrying the right gear and well organized so you'll know at everytime where you're things are located. When organizing your content, holes or places of air must be filled with clothe so there won't be no places with out nothing on them so your walking can be pleacent.
